Good things come to those who wait

Posted in blog by ondra loup on 30/07/2013

I’ve been very lazy with updating here this month, sorry about that. The good thing is I’m shooting even more film than before, I’m just not posting it yet. Here is my grandmother’s orchid, captured in April this year..

In and around the new place

Posted in blog by ondra loup on 28/06/2013

It’s not even two months since we moved into the new flat, so it still feels fresh. These photos were taken in our hallway, out of our living room window, and at the top of our street.

Austerlitz in 2012

Posted in blog by ondra loup on 24/05/2013

Every year, in early December, hundreds of people play on a field near my hometown,
trying to reconstruct the battle of Austerlitz.

Deconstruction of the Christmas dinner

Posted in blog by ondra loup on 26/02/2013

Every year, in the morning of 24th December, I’m fascinated by this spectacle happening at the same time all around the Czech Republic. Within a few minutes, a living thing is turned into a bowl of food.

Darkness in the Church

A few weeks ago, a series of strange events led me and Alanna to a church, alone, at night.
I couldn’t help but take a few photos.

Street Photography

Posted in blog by ondra loup on 06/02/2013

Last night, I attended another Miniclick talk, this time by the mighty street photographer Matt Stuart. It was great fun and I got a lot of inspiration from him in those few hours. In my opinion it’s one of the most difficult photography disciplines. Every so often, I try my luck. This is one of the latest attempts.

Hunting the Christmas Tree

Posted in blog by ondra loup on 29/01/2013

Christmas in the Czech Republic, the peaceful part: walking through the mist in dead-silent woods, not meeting a single person, finding the right tree, which grows on the side of the road. Blood and flesh is yet to follow.

Self-portrait for the new year

Posted in blog by ondra loup on 04/01/2013

I’m not very keen on self-portraits in the bathroom mirror, but as I took this one to finish-off a film at my grandparents’ and I like the light very much, I thought I’d post it. I hope this year will bring me a medium format film camera to hide behind. Thank you for watching this space, wishing you all an enjoyable 2013!
